Games Console Repair: PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Retro Consoles — Across Europe

Won't your console turn on, has it no video signal, or has the disc drive failed? We repair at motherboard level, with professional work on graphics chips, HDMI ports, power supplies and integrated circuits. Ship your console from anywhere in Europe: diagnosis and quote always free.

Professional Component-Level Games Console Repair

Modern games consoles are complex electronic devices, comparable to high-performance computers. When they fail, many repair centres simply offer to replace the motherboard or the whole device. At CET Point Elettronic, thanks to our technician Valter Pissinis's thirty years of experience, we carry out component-level repairs: we work directly on chips, capacitors, MOSFETs, voltage regulators and integrated circuits on the motherboard, fixing the problem at its root, often at a fraction of the cost.

PlayStation 5 (PS5) and PlayStation 4 (PS4) Repair

We repair PS5 and PS4 consoles with: a damaged or loose HDMI port causing no video signal, a console that won't turn on (no sign of life), the flashing blue light (BLOD – Blue Light of Death), overheating and sudden shutdowns, a Blu-ray drive that won't read discs or keeps ejecting them, an unrecognised internal hard drive, controllers that won't connect and USB port problems. We work directly on the motherboard with micro-soldering and SMD component replacement.

Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One Repair

For Xbox consoles, we carry out repairs on: a faulty HDMI port, no video signal, a console that won't turn on, a black screen (Black Screen of Death), a faulty optical drive, overheating caused by degraded thermal paste, a noisy or seized fan, and power supply or power management circuit problems. We work on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and every version of the Xbox One.

Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED Repair

The Nintendo Switch has specific issues that call for delicate motherboard-level work. We repair: Joy-Con drift (at circuit level too, not just by swapping the analogue stick), a console that won't charge via USB-C, no video signal on the dock, an unresponsive touch screen, a game card slot that won't read, non-working Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and power issues. We work on the original Nintendo Switch as well as the Switch OLED and Switch Lite.

Retro Console Repair

Love classic consoles? We also repair retro consoles: PlayStation 1, 2 and 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Sega Mega Drive, Dreamcast and more. For these consoles, component-level repair is often the only option available, since original spare parts are no longer made. Our electronics expertise lets us work on vintage circuits with the same skill we bring to modern devices.

We Don't Replace the Motherboard: We Repair It

When a repair centre offers to replace your console's motherboard, the cost is often close to that of a new console. We repair the original motherboard, working on the single faulty component. That means lower costs for you and less electronic waste. A genuine repair, not simply swapping parts.

Frequently Asked Questions About Console Repair

Do you accept consoles for repair from anywhere in Europe?

Yes. Ship your console to our workshop in Ivrea, Italy, from anywhere. Diagnosis and quote are free; return shipping is included in the quote if you proceed with the repair, otherwise it is at the customer's expense.

Do you repair the motherboard or replace it?

We repair it. When other centres offer to replace the motherboard (at a cost close to that of a new console), we work on the single faulty component — chip, capacitor, MOSFET, voltage regulator — with micro-soldering. It costs less and produces less electronic waste.

Which consoles do you repair?

PlayStation 5 and PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED and Switch Lite, as well as retro consoles (PS1/PS2/PS3, Xbox 360, NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Sega Mega Drive, Dreamcast and more).

Do you repair the HDMI port and Joy-Con drift?

Yes. A damaged HDMI port (no video signal) is one of the most common faults on the PS5 and Xbox, and we replace it at board level. On the Nintendo Switch, we fix Joy-Con drift at circuit level too, not just by replacing the analogue stick.
